Efficacious Abacus of Construction

If the proper positions are chosen for the many jewelled beads, a single use of this abacus negates any attacks made against inanimate construction (walls, roof, floor, and so on) within 300 feet. This includes the effects of a horn of blasting, a disintegrate spell, or an attack from a ram or similar siege weapon. The abacus can be used in this way once per day, with the protection lasting for 30 minutes.
The abacus is also useful with respect to building. Once a week, its beads can be positioned so as to produce equations that magically construct buildings, mines, tunnels, ditches, etc. The effect produced in 30 minutes of playing is equal to the work of 100 humans laboring for 3 days. Each hour after the first, a character using the abacus must make a DC 18 KN: Arcana check. If it fails, she must stop and cannot use the abacus again for this purpose until a week has passed.

This leather gauntlet has a network of fine wires and tubes surrounding it, and a gutta percha hose leading to the catalytic charge unit worn on a thick belt. It allows the wearer to use Mage Hand at will.

Cylinder of Peril Identification

This device pulses in the wielder’s hand and points in the direction of any creature or creatures hostile to the bearer of the device (nearest ones first). These creatures can be invisible, ethereal, hidden, disguised, or in plain sight. Detection range is 60 feet. If the bearer of the rod concentrates for a full round, the rod pinpoints the location of the nearest enemy and indicates how many enemies are within range. The rod can be used to pinpoint three times each day, each use lasting up to 10 minutes. Activating the rod is a standard action.
